P'tit Train
du Nord
The railroad
St-Jérôme/Mont-Laurier was built 1891-1909 under the
presure of cure Antoine-Labelle. Between 1920-1940 where the glory
years. The «P'tit Train du Nord» transported the last
time passangers the 15 of November 1981 and the last cargo 1989.
The bicycle trail was opened 1996 and the old train stations where
renovated and transformed in service points. So became the «P'tit
Train du Nord» a tourist attraction for bicycles, roller skates,
cross-country ski and snowmobile. Only in summer 2003 the 88km from
the territory of MRC Antoine-Labelle was paved.
